Fibromyalgia is a debilitating chronic condition that mostly affects women. It is characterized by pain that is felt on both sides of the body, above and below the waist, and is described as an illness that exaggerates the way that pain is felt, in large part because something has gone wrong with the way that the body processes sensitivity. It is unclear what causes fibromyalgia; in some cases it follows surgery or a physical or emotional trauma.

Whiplash is a painful neck injury that results from a sudden impact; it is most commonly the result of a car accident, though it can also happen to people who participate in contact sports or who are beaten or shaken. The initial symptoms usually show up around a day after the precipitating incident, and can range from mild discomfort that goes away in…

These shock absorbers are made up in two parts; a more rigid outer casing and a softer, gelatinous inside which can get pushed out when the…

Fascia is the soft tissue component of the connective tissue system that permeates the human body. Because it tightens and shortens in response to trauma, repetitive stress and lack of movement, it can painfully restrict joint movement and blood flow. Appropriate bodywork can eliminate pain by loosening and lengthening the fascial sheaths surrounding affected muscles and joints.

Sound therapy aims to bring about optimum health. This occurs when we are vibrating in harmony at our natural and inherent resonant frequency. Each aspect of our being including our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects has a unique resonance, or rate of vibration. When one of the resonant frequencies of these aspects begins to vibrate out of sync, dis-ease or ill health occurs. When this happens, an imbalanced sound pattern or vibration has been established within one or more levels of our being.
